MEDIA One’s on-the- ground initiatives serve to maximize the impact of our communications for development programming, empower local communities, and further long-lasting behavior change. In partnership with our extensive network of key stakeholders and beneficiaries, MEDIA One has successfully implemented customized on-the-ground community engagement activities in over 15 provinces nationwide. Community engagement activities include:
- Listening and Dialogue Groups: MEDIA One establishes community groups to engage in discussions and debates inspired by our mass-media programming. Group members communicate directly with MEDIA One content producers to provide vital information and feedback—ensuring that content continues to be highly responsive to needs of target beneficiaries.
- Community Reporting: MEDIA One recruits and trains community reporters to gather and produce community-drive content for media broadcasts.
- Meetings, Forums and Trainings: MEDIA One organizes customized community meetings, forums and trainings to raise awareness and empower community members to be effective change agents.
